Background

Medication Packaging Systems Australia Pty Ltd (MPS) was founded in 1997 by pharmacists Chris Clarke and George Castrisos.

Chris & George, partners of the Chermside Medical Centre Pharmacy, began to specialize in the provision of pharmacy services to Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) in 1992.

Their dedication to filling this niche market, meant that the business grew quickly and the pharmacy became one of the largest suppliers to Residential Aged Care Facilities in Queensland.

In recent years, it has become a requirement for Residential Aged Care Facilities to be Accredited and to implement quality standards.

Consequently Residential Aged Care Facilities were required to ensure “medication management” was systemized and controlled.

A strong focus on “QUALITY USE OF MEDICINES” presented a need to develop a Medication Management System that was more predictable, dependable, and easier to use.

Thus it was through extensive research, that the MPS Health Management System evolved.

The MPS Health Management System allows doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality healthcare to Residential Aged Care Facilities

Now, MPS operates three Dose Manufacturing Facilities in Australia and through a network of customer pharmacies, is the largest provider of pharmacy services to Residential Aged Care Facilities in Australia.

Today, more than ONE MILLION tablets are packed and administered each month with the MPS Health Management System.
